Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant

Location: Enfield

Start Date: September 2024

Type: Full-time

Step Teachers are working with a Primary School in Enfield that is looking for a Nursery Teaching Assistant. This Nursery Teaching Assistant role is commencing in September 2024. This school is known for fostering a love of reading and ensuring children develop strong foundational skills in mathematics and literacy from an early age.

The Role of a Nursery Teaching Assistant:

  • Make a positive impact academically, socially, and emotionally within the classroom.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and provide pastoral support to children when required.
  • Provide feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.
  • Assist the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.

 Requirements of a Nursery Teaching Assistant:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant/Early Years qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Previous experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant/Early Years Practitioner.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • SEN experience is desirable.
