Since joining Step Teachers, I have received requests from supply practitioners for more information about phonics teaching in primary education. I have put together this presentation to support the understanding and delivery of phonics that most primary education providers follow. This presentation is adapted from an Academy Trust training resource and promotes the teaching of synthetic phonics, teaching children the skills to decode, encode, read, and write words.
