Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant for a 1-2-1 role in a school near Radlett. The role will involve working in a Year 1 Class, as a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant and at time supporting the general class.

This two-form entry school has a very nurturing ethos and prides itself on being able to provide a learning environment where every child is able to thrive. At the last inspection, the school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and offers a curriculum that is both focused and fun.

Role:

• Able to provide 1 - 2 - 1 and general classroom support
• Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
• Ability to support students and encourage their progression
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Requirements:

• Recent experience working in a primary school or with school aged children
• A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
• Previous SEND experience is essential
