Step Teachers are collaborating with a Primary school in Enfield who are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor in a Long-Term role to start immediately or in September 2024. Working with Year 5/6 Students in a Good Ofsted-rated school that aims to give children the support they need to achieve their academic potential as well as teaching them values that will serve them well, not only in this school but throughout their lives.

Role of a Cover Supervisor:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Cover Supervisor must Maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
• Managing classroom behavior and ensuring students remain on task.
• Assisting with the development of educational resources.
• Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders.
• Also Suitable for a HLTA

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

• A passion for education and a genuine interest in working with secondary school students.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• The ability to adapt to various subjects and year groups.
• A positive and proactive attitude.
• Previous experience in Year 5/6 as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• A relevant degree is desirable.
• Cover Supervisor with Upper KS2, occasionally covering full classes.
