Job description

Class Act Teaching Services are working with multiple Secondary Schools in Witney and the surrounding areas and we are looking for people with previous Cover Supervisor experience to work with us. The roles we have can range from daily cover between schools through to longer term supply roles. As a Cover Supervisor you will be the adult responsible for the class in the absence of their regular teacher.

Cover Supervisor Role:

  • Cover lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Ensure the class are on target with the pre-set work
  • Effectively manage the behaviour of the class
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

  • Completed undergraduate degree or higher
  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor in Secondary School
