Step Teachers have collaborated with a Secondary school in the St Austell area and are now looking for a Creative Arts Teacher to deliver Media. This school is determined in it's quest for greatness. It is based on a concept of challenging and supporting all students, regardless of aptitude or background. This school has strong academic ambitions for all students, as well as good personal and social development. This is a part time supply position that will begin in January 2025.
Creative Arts Teacher – Role:
- Strong knowledge of the Media Studies curriculum.
- Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources, instruments, and equipment.
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- The Media Studies Teacher must be able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
- Compliance with the school's policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Creative Arts Teacher – Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Media Studies Teacher in a Secondary School setting.
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
- A relevant Media Studies-related degree is desirable.
