This is a dynamic and inclusive school dedicated to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for discovery. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Science Teacher to join their team and inspire students across Key Stages 3,4 and 5 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as a General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3/KS4/KS5.
- Teach a broad range of topics within Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Encourage scientific curiosity and critical thinking through practical investigations and experiments.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance student learning.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
- Ensure a safe and well-managed laboratory environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and improve the Science curriculum.
- Support extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, or school trips.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Science at [KS3/KS4/KS5].
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A passion for engaging and inspiring students in Science.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to make Science accessible, exciting, and relevant to students of all abilities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, working effectively with colleagues and students as a General Science Teacher.
- A commitment to high expectations and raising student attainment.
