Duties of a Geography Teacher:

• Teach engaging lessons covering both physical and human geography
• Encourage students to explore global issues, environmental sustainability, and cultural diversity
• Plan and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
• Organise field trips and practical learning experiences to enhance student engagement
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Inspire curiosity about the world and develop students’ geographical skills

Ideal Geography Teacher:

• A degree in Geography or a related subject
• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
• Experience teaching geography at Secondary level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Geography Teacher.
• A passion for geography and the ability to make learning interactive and engaging
