Looking for a new opportunity in a dynamic educational environment as a passionate and experienced Humanities Teacher? Step Teachers are collaborating with a Secondary School in the Cambridgeshire area, actively seeking a committed Humanities Teacher to join their team. The school's primary goal is to ensure students thrive and learn effectively, and all staff are aware that they play a crucial role in guiding the young pupils on their educational journey. This is a long-term supply role and the selected candidate is expected to start in January 2025.

Humanities Teacher – Role:

  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Humanities curriculum.
  • The Humanities Teacher must plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom environment, ensuring all resources are readily available.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members within the department and throughout the school.
  • The Humanities Teacher should assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Adhere to and implement the school’s policies consistently and effectively.

Humanities Teacher – Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary schools.
  • Have recent experience as a Humanities Teacher in a mainstream school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • SEN experience is essential.
