We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. Subjects may include History, Geography, and Religious Studies, depending on expertise and experience. This role is for September 2025.

Duties as a Humanities Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities subjects, fostering critical thinking and curiosity
• Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure progress for all
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
• Encourage students to develop independent learning skills and a passion for Humanities subjects
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the department
• Promote cross-curricular links and real-world applications of Humanities subjects
• Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams where applicable
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as trips, clubs, and whole-school events

Ideal Humanities Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in a relevant Humanities subject (History, Geography, Religious Studies, etc.)
• Experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities
• A commitment to high expectations and inclusive teaching practices as a Humanities Teacher.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
