We are seeking a confident and adaptable Maths Cover Supervisor to join a welcomming team at a prestigious school. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Maths lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career. This role begins ASAP in February 2025.

Duties as a Maths Cover Supervisor:

• Deliver pre-prepared Maths lessons to students across [KS3/KS4/KS5].
• Maintain good classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task.
• Support students in understanding lesson content when required.
• Follow the school’s policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and learning.
• Liaise with teaching staff to provide feedback on student progress.

Ideal Maths Cover Supervisor:

• Strong subject knowledge in Maths.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to different classroom settings.
• A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
• A degree in Maths or a related subject.
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people.
• An interest in pursuing a teaching career.
