Job description

A vibrant school is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of music across the school, from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 4. Duties as Music Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the National Curriculum, covering both practical and theoretical elements

  • Foster a love for music and creativity across all age groups, encouraging student participation in performances and projects

  • Develop students’ skills in a variety of instruments, voice, and music theory

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance musical development

  • Organise and lead music-related extracurricular activities, such as choirs, bands, and school performances

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum

  • Contribute to the wider school community through music events, concerts, and collaborations

Ideal Music Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field

  • Experience teaching music at secondary level (Key Stage 3 and 4)

  • A strong passion for music and a creative approach to teaching

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills as a Music Teacher.

  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging environment for all students

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children
