We have a school that is looking for a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact in the early years of children's education, helping to lay the foundation for their future learning. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Assess and track children’s development, identifying and supporting individual learning needs
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through structured and free play activities
- Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to provide high-quality early years education
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support children's learning and development at home
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and encourage positive interactions among pupils
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience or strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Be passionate about early childhood education and child development
- Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in lesson planning and delivery
- Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment as a Reception Year Teacher.
- Be committed to continuous professional development and teamwork
