We have school that is seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping young children's learning experiences and development at a crucial stage in their education. This role is for September 2025.
Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel confident and valued
- Observe, assess, and track children's progress, using this to inform planning and individual support
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through structured activities and free play
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to deliver high-quality early years education
- Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on children's progress
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and encourage positive interactions among pupils
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience or strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Be passionate about early childhood education and child development
- Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in lesson planning and delivery
- Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment
- Be committed to continuous professional development and teamwork
