Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Secondary Teacher looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students with additional needs? We are seeking an empathetic and skilled teacher to join their supportive SEN team at well established school. This role begins ASAP.

Duties as a SEN Secondary Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students with a range of special educational needs
  • Implement strategies to support individual learning needs, ensuring that students can access the curriculum successfully
  • Provide a nurturing and structured classroom environment that fosters confidence and independence
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of the students
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes

Ideal SEN Secondary Teacher:

 

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience working with students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting
  • Is patient, understanding, and dedicated to providing an inclusive education
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Secondary Teacher.
  • Is proactive in developing and implementing strategies for individualised learning
  • Has a passion for working with students with additional needs and helping them achieve their potential
