We have various schools around Norfolk that are seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Teachers to join their dynamic and supportive secondary school teams. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering a love for learning and academic success. This role is for March 2025.
Duties as a Secondary Teaching Assistant:
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, setting high expectations and encouraging students to achieve their full potential
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and personal development
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and classroom discipline
- Contribute to the development of the [Subject] curriculum and participate in departmental meetings
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance students’ learning experiences
- Support and encourage students' personal, social, and emotional development
- Take part in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment opportunities
Ideal Secondary Teacher:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience or a strong understanding of teaching various Subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Be passionate about teaching and inspiring young people
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and creative teaching strategies
- Be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
- Be a reflective practitioner who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to the school’s success as a Secondary Teacher
- (If applicable) Have experience teaching Key Stage 5 or a willingness to develop in this area
