Job Description:

Step Teachers are working alongside a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated Secondary school in Girton. They are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN English Teacher to join their vibrant School for a long-term position starting in September 2024 with a possible extension till Easter. This is an exciting opportunity for an SEN English Teacher who is eager to work at a school that emphasizes holistic development, and the development of life and social skills, which means that we can bring out the best in all our students and provide them with opportunities to flourish.

SEN English Teacher - Role:

• SEN English Teacher must possess strong knowledge of the curriculum.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Maintain a well-organized, tidy, and considerate classroom environment.
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, inspiring good behavior, and a passion for learning.
• Cooperate with and support colleagues and additional classroom staff.
• Accurately assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Comply with and implement the school's policies and take part in their supportive educational ethos.

SEN English Teacher - Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
• Recent mainstream school-based experience as an SEN English Teacher.
• A relevant English-related degree is desirable.
• Experience with KS3-KS5 curriculum (from year 7 up to 6th form GCSE)
