Are you a committed SEN Teaching Assistant eager to make a positive impact on the lives of children with complex needs? Step Teachers are collaborating with a Primary school in Plymouth and are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of a school that promotes ambitious objectives while also contributing to student advancement. This position has an immediate start and is an ongoing supply position.
Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Able to provide 1 - 2 - 1 support
- Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
- Ability to support student and encourage their progression
- Strong and professional communication with parents
- Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively
Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Recent experience working in a primary school or with school aged children
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
- Previous SEND experience is essential
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
