We are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive teams at various schools around Plymouth. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing tailored support and encouragement.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SLD, PMLD, and SEMH (adjust as necessary). This role begins March 2025.

Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Support students one-to-one or in small groups to enhance learning.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons.
• Help create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).
• Promote positive behaviour and social development.
• Use assistive technologies and alternative communication methods where necessary.

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting).
• A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• A passion for helping children reach their full potential.
