Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Finchley, London

Start Date: September 2024

Type: Full-time

Step Teachers are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support a class at Reception level. This role is set to commence in September 2024 on a supply basis. You will have the opportunity to work at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school located in Finchley, London. This school prides itself on its inclusive and diverse environment, fostering a child-led approach to learning that inspires both students and educators.

Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children within Reception level.
  • Plan and execute enriching activities to enhance student learning and development.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with the Class Teacher and other staff members.
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed.
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a primary school.
  • A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities.
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
