Step Teachers are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant located in Hackney commencing in February 2025. This day to day position is for 8 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion. 

This school boasts a 'good' rating from Ofsted. It places a high value on fostering the intellectual growth of students and staff.

Your duties as a Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons to students of various abilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who need additional help.
• Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of teaching materials.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student success.
• Supervise students during breaks, lunch, and other non-classroom times as needed.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
• Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience would be desirable
