This school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape young learners' educational journey, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development. This role begins March 2025.

Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Assess, track, and report on pupils’ progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and motivated to learn
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
• Maintain high standards of behaviour management and establish clear classroom expectations
• Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities

Ideal Year 1 Teacher:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience or a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Be passionate about teaching and child development
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and creative teaching strategies
• Be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
• Be a reflective practitioner who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to the school’s success as a Year 1 Teacher.
