Here we have a school that is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their welcoming and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to guide pupils through their final year of Key Stage 1, preparing them for a smooth transition into Key Stage 2 while fostering a love for learning. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and curiosity
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and classroom discipline
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
- Contribute to school life, including staff meetings, extracurricular activities, and professional development
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience or a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Be passionate about teaching and child development
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and creative teaching strategies as a Year 2 Teacher
- Be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
- Be a reflective practitioner who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to the school’s success
