Job description
There are schools around Norfolk that are seeking passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teachers to join their supportive and friendly teams. This is an exciting opportunity to guide students as they transition into Key Stage 2, fostering their academic and personal growth in a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a Year 3 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and establish clear classroom expectations
- Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
Ideal Year 3 Teacher:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience or a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Be passionate about teaching and child development
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and creative teaching strategies as a Year 3 Teacher.
- Be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
- Be a reflective practitioner who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to the school’s success
