Job description

Step Teachers are working with a Primary School to south of Hemel Hempstead who are looking for an After School Club Assistant. The hours will be from 3pm to 6pm and they are looking for an After School Club Assistant to join with an immediate start, 5 days per week. The role is at a Primary School who were rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted under the former ratings for schools and they are proud to offer a curriculum that is broad and engages students to develop a love for learning. 

After School Club Assistant Role:

  • Planning and carrying out fun and engaging activities that meet the children’s needs
  • Keeping a watchful eye on the children to ensure they are safe and happy while under the school's care
  • Helping set up and tidy up the room
  • Effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and parents

After School Club Assistant Requirements:

  • Has previous experience working with young children
  • Holds a Level 2 or higher childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is friendly, reliable, and adaptable
