Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for an Art Teacher for a Secondary School near Cheshunt to start immediately. The role is initially temporary, however, for someone who embodies the school values and can make a positive impact, there is the potential for this to become permanent. This full time teaching role, will involve planning, marking and reporting across all year groups.
The position is at a combined Secondary School and Sixth Form, and strives to provide an inclusive curriculum that allows every individual to reach their full potential. The school are looking for a teacher who can make an impact in the school and help to create growing learning environment.
Role:
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Art curriculum
- Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Art at Secondary School level.
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- A relevant Art related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is desirable
