Job description

Step Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in market town in West Suffolk. 

  • Plan and deliver creative and inspiring art lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and national standards.
  • Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.

 Art Teacher – Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience as an Art Teacher in a UK-based school.
  • As an Art Teacher you should have strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art on a KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
