The successful Design and Technology Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create hands-on learning experiences and projects that allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world design challenges.
• Provide instruction and guidance on the use of tools, machinery, and equipment commonly used in design and technology workshops.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and collaborate.
• Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including project-based assessments, practical demonstrations, and written assignments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate design and technology concepts across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in design and technology, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in resistance materials (for experienced teachers) and their applications in design and technology.
• As a Design and Technology Teacher, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom.
