About the role:
Step teachers are working with a dynamic is a dynamic and forward-thinking school that are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design and Technology Teacher with expertise in resistance materials (for experienced applicants) to join their dedicated faculty. The successful Design and Technology Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create hands-on learning experiences and projects that allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world design challenges.
- Provide instruction and guidance on the use of tools, machinery, and equipment commonly used in design and technology workshops.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and collaborate.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including project-based assessments, practical demonstrations, and written assignments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate design and technology concepts across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in design and technology, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in resistance materials (for experienced teachers) and their applications in design and technology.
- As a Design and Technology Teacher, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom.
