Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Secondary School in Bicester who are looking for a Design Technology Teacher specialising in Textiles. The school are looking for a Design Technology Teacher to work full time from April 2024 until the end of the academic year. There is the potential for this Design Technology Teacher role to become permanent from September
There is a strong emphasis on the ethos of this Secondary School which is to provide an education that removes barriers to a young person’s ability to learn and thrive. The school are looking for a teacher who can make a positive impact within the school and inspire students to be ambitious.
Design Technology Teacher Role:
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 design Technology and Textiles curriculum
- Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom, including safe use and storage of equipment
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Able to plan and deliver both theoretical and practical lessons that are engaging and adhere to the curriculum
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Design Technology Teacher Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
- Have recent mainstream school-based as a Textiles or Design Technology Teacher.
- A relevant Textiles related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is desirable
