Are you looking for your next engineering teaching role? Step Teachers are working with a secondary school in Greenwich who are looking for an Engineering Teacher to join them as soon as possible. The engineering teacher will be expected to teach at KS3, KS4, and KS5 so previous experience is essential, although ECT’s are also welcome to apply.
This is a permanent engineering teaching role at a popular, oversubscribed, and vibrant learning community. Teachers typically manage pupils' behaviour well, and leaders have high ambitions for their pupils.
Engineering Teacher Role:
- Strong knowledge of the engineering curriculum.
- Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources.
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school.
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress in engineering.
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in engineering.
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Engineering Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience teaching engineering at the secondary level.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
