Job description
Step Teachers are currently looking for an English Teacher for an amazing school within the Helston area. The role will require planning and marking, and will be paid to scale.
They recognise that students can not be good learners if they are struggling with how they are feeling. Powerful knowledge takes a pupil beyond their own experience. It is knowledge that many will not have access to at home, amongst their friends or in the communities in which they live. The students also learn the knowledge and skills to be a positive contribution to the community.
Role:

Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English

Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons

Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources

Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school

Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback

Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements:

Hold QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school

Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching English at secondary school level
-
Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
-
A relevant English related degree is desirable
-
SEND experience is desirable
