Duties as an English Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach a range of topics, including literature, language, and creative writing.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion and critical thinking.
• Prepare students for examinations and coursework assessments.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Encourage a love for reading and writing through extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes.

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in English, Education, or a related subject
• Experience teaching English at secondary level (preferred but not essential)
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English literature and language
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to supporting and inspiring students of all abilities
• Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
