Job description
Class Act are seeking an experienced French Teacher located in Oxford commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 2 months initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a French Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging French lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Teach French at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 (GCSE and A-Level).
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and setting achievable targets.
- Encourage students to develop their language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Promote an understanding of French culture, history, and geography through creative teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Modern Languages department to ensure the delivery of a cohesive curriculum.
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, or language exchange programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
To be considered for this French Teacher position, you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in French, Modern Languages, or a related field.
- Strong command of the French language, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience as a French Teacher at a high standard at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in French.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
