Job description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated KS1 Teachers to join teams at schools around Edmonton. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, helping young learners develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social development as they progress through Key Stage 1. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student learning.
  • Promote a love of learning and encourage independence in young children.
  • Contribute to school activities, meetings, and professional development.

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics and early literacy strategies.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills as a KS1 Teacher.
  • A passion for inspiring and nurturing young learners.
