Step Teachers are seeking an experienced General Science Teacher located in Wood Green commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 1 months initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a General Science Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach across a range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Differentiate teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
- Promote the development of practical skills through hands-on experiments and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop and improve curriculum content.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, trips, and events, to enhance students' learning experiences.
To be considered for this General Science Teacher position, you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Science or a related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Experience as a General Science Teacher in a secondary school setting.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for Science and the ability to inspire students to excel.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
