Step Teachers are seeking an experienced General Science Teacher located in Wood Green commencing in February 2025. This day to day position is for 6 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a General Science Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage [3/4/5].
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in a way that engages students and encourages critical thinking.
- Develop and deliver practical experiments and investigations to reinforce theoretical learning.
- Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and project work, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and exploration.
- Foster a growth mindset and encourage students to take ownership of their learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and develop cross-curricular projects.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to Science, including clubs, trips, or events.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and student wellbeing.
To be considered for this General Science Teacher position, you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A passion for science and teaching, with a commitment to inspiring students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills as a General Science Teacher
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practices.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
