Step Teachers are seeking an experienced General Science Teacher located in Bungay commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 15 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a General Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students of all abilities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to promote improvement.
• Encourage students to develop a deep understanding of scientific principles through hands-on experiments and practical activities.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the school’s science curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and wellbeing.
• Attend and contribute to department meetings and school events.

To be considered for this General Science Teacher position, you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Science or related field (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.).
• Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting (preferred but not essential).
• Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and assessment strategies.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students as a General Science Teacher.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learners.
