The Role of a Year 6 Teacher:

  • Full-time teaching position in Year 6
  • Planning, delivering, and marking engaging lessons
  • Preparing students for their transition to secondary school
  • Creating a nurturing and inspirational classroom environment
  • Contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Year 6 Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching KS2, ideally in Year 6
  • Sets high expectations for themselves and their students
  • Is enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to raising achievement
  • Believes in the power of positive learning experiences
