An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant! Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Enfield to find a General Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Year 1. Key Responsibilities of a General Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support students with varying abilities and learning needs
• Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.

Requirements of a General Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
• Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.
