One of Step Teachers’ client schools in North-West London is recruiting for a Geography Teacher for a full-time role starting in September. This is a permanent position in an OFSTED-rated ‘Good’ mixed secondary school in Barnet, North London.

This is a ‘Good’ OFSTED-rated school which has been graded ‘Outstanding’ previously. The school is seeking a Geography Teacher who will readily engage with the school’s ethos and values. The role is open to experienced and ECT Teachers alike.

Role:

• Good knowledge of the geography curriculum at all key stages.
• Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all the associated resources.
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
• A Geography Teacher who can assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school.
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
• A relevant geography or humanities-related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is also desirable.
