Are you a geography teacher looking for your next role? A secondary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a full-time ‘Geography Teacher’ from January. The ‘Geography Teacher’ will be required to teach from KS3 to KS5 so previous experience of teaching geography at secondary level is required. This is a permanent role, but the school are also open to taking a teacher on a fixed term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a ‘Geography Teacher’ to teach in a well led, collaborative and supportive humanities faculty. The school was graded ‘Outstanding’ in 4 out of 6 categories in its last OFSTED inspection and leaders set high expectations for all pupils, so behaviour is generally excellent.
Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in geography.
- Develop creative and stimulating teaching materials.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Support and encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support when needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall school curriculum.
Geography Teacher Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching geography at secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education and commitment to student success.
