Job description
If you are considering a career in teaching and looking to gain some experience in schools before completing your teacher training, then work as a Graduate Cover Supervisor is a flexible and informative way to gain that experience. It would allow you to go into multiple different Secondary Schools and develop a rounded experience of working in a school. You don't need to be able plan lessons or be an expert on the subject as the lessons will be left and you are there to supervise the students and the classroom.
As a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts, we have long standing relationships with schools and academy trusts meaning you can gain experience in a variety of different schools. We are able to offer a mix of daily and short term supply work as well as longer term positions dependant on your availability and the work you are looking for.
Graduate Cover Supervisor Role:
- Be able to confidently stand at the front of a class
- Implement the school behaviour policy consistently and effectively
- Maintain appropriate and professional conduct at all times
- Be willing to learn and apply yourself to the role
Graduate Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree in any subject completed within the last 5 years
- An interest in a career in education
