Job description

Step Teachers are working with a Secondary school north of Cambridge that is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced History Teacher to start in February 2025 until the Easter Holidays. 

As the ideal History Teacher for this role, you will:

  • Strong knowledge of the humanities curriculum.
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • History Teacher who can assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
  • Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Requirements for a History Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with the learners.
  • Demonstrated experience as a History Teacher in a Secondary School.
