Duties as a History Teacher:

• Encourage students to analyse historical events and their impact on the present and future.
• Foster a love for history through interactive teaching methods, debates, and discussions.
• Assess and track student progress, providing support and challenge where needed.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as history clubs, trips, and school events.

Ideal History Teacher:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience teaching History at level.
• Have a strong understanding of historical themes, critical analysis, and enquiry-based learning.
• Be passionate about history and inspiring young minds.
• Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Be a team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
