A full-time position as a 'Humanities Teacher' is available at a Step Teachers' client school in North-West London, starting immediately. The school is a mixed secondary school in Barnet, North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History at KS3 and RE at KS3 and KS4. The role of 'Humanities Teacher' is full-time and commences in January 2025. The school, previously graded as 'Outstanding,' is currently seeking a teacher who will embrace the school's ethos and values. The position is open to both experienced teachers and ECT Teachers.
Humanities Teacher- Role:
- Good knowledge of the history curriculum at key stages 3 and RE curriculum at key stage 3 & 4.
- Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all the associated resources.

- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Humanities Teacher- Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school.
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching RE and History at secondary school level.
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
- A relevant humanities related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is also desirable.
