Job description

We are seeking a Key Stage 1 & 2 Supply Teachers to provide high-quality teaching across primary year groups on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for a flexible and enthusiastic teacher who can step into different classrooms and maintain a positive learning environment. This role begins February 2025.

Duties as a KS1 and 2 Teacher:

 

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, following the national curriculum.
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and follow school lesson plans where provided.
  • Support students' academic and personal development, ensuring progress in core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and science.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a focused and positive learning atmosphere.
  • Differentiate teaching to cater to pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of learning.

Ideal KS1 and 2 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to teaching.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
