Job description

They are committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment and are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.We are seeking a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support to pupils, ensuring they make excellent progress in all areas of their learning. Beginning April 2025.

Duties as a KS1/2 Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support individual pupils and small groups with their learning.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide additional support for pupils with SEND, where required.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
  • Supervise and support pupils during playtimes and lunchtimes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support pupil progress.

Ideal KS1/2 Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Experience working with primary-aged children (KS1/KS2).
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach as a KS1/2 Teaching Assistant.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND would be an advantage.
