This is a vibrant and creative learning environment where we believe in nurturing the talents of every student. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for music and the arts in the school community. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Music Teacher:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive music lessons across a range of year groups (KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5).
Teach music theory, composition, performance, and music appreciation in a way that is accessible and enjoyable for students.
Lead individual and group music lessons, including singing, instrumental tuition, and ensemble activities.
Organise and direct music performances, school concerts, and other extracurricular music events.
Work closely with other teachers to integrate music into the wider curriculum.
Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment where students can express themselves musically.
Support the development of musical talents, preparing students for examinations, auditions, and performances.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting development targets.
Support the school’s cultural and extracurricular activities by encouraging student participation in music clubs, choirs, and other related activities.
Ideal Music Teacher:
A degree in Music or a related subject.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience of teaching music, ideally in a primary or secondary school setting.
Strong knowledge of music theory, instrumental skills, and various musical genres.
Ability to inspire students and develop their musical talents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students as a Music Teacher.
Experience in organising performances and leading school music events.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive, creative environment for all students.
