Initially the position is lasting for 1 term, but the school are looking to make this Religious Education Teacher permanent for someone who can embody the school. This is a full time position with an immediate start.

This Secondary School is part of a multi academy trust and offers a rich and diverse curriculum that is delivered in a safe and inclusive learning environment. Under the former Ofsted ratings for school, they received a grading of ‘Good. They take pride in the extra curriculum activities offered to students and their links with universities and employers.

Religious Education Teacher Role:

• Strong knowledge of Religious Education curriculum
• Maintain an organised and professional classroom as well as associated resources
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to enable them to develop and learn
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons inclusive of all students within the class
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Religious Education Teacher Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary Schools
• Have recent mainstream school-based as a Religious Education Teacher
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant Religious Studies related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is desirable
