Job description

Are you an experienced School Librarian with a passion for nurturing a love of reading? We are representing a dynamic secondary school in Islington, and we are on the lookout for a dedicated School Librarian to join the team. Please note this is a temporary role with the possibility of permanency.

School Librarian- Role:

  • As a School Librarian, you will manage and develop our well-stocked library, supporting the curriculum and student learning.
  • The School Librarian will engage students with innovative literacy programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff as the School Librarian to enhance learning resources and ensure the library is a vibrant learning hub.
  • Maintain and organize all library resources as the School Librarian, ensuring they are accessible to every student.

School Librarian- Requirements:

  • A School Librarian with prior experience, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential for a successful School Librarian.
  • A passion for promoting literacy and a deep love of books.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, key traits of a School Librarian.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
